If you use Rubbing Alcohol instead of water with unsweetened Kool-Aid or fabric dye will it be permanent? Can it go over acrylics and non-pourous surfaces and not come off? Is it the same as or Ranger Alcohol Inks? Alcohol inks are expensive for met and I really need an alternative that works the same way just Cheaper. any help I’d appreciate it a lot. XOXO

Thanks so much for your vids! Glimmer mist is way over priced. I use rubbing alcohol and Pearlx and have made some of the coolest colors, so I’m not at the mercy of store colors. You Rock!

    if you really want …
if you really want to expand into the color thing you can check out tkbtrading – they have micas and dyes you can buy for like 1.50 per tbsp. I use them all the time when I make my base scrapbooking papers and mist sprays. You can also paint a pc of paper and drop bomb some of the colors from high to make some nice looking papers – though you’d want to set it with a fixative since it does not have resins like perfect pearls.

I havent tried it, i think the glitter would clog the bottles. You could maybe try some really fine mica powders… like pearl powders by Ranger…. they would be more like glimmer mist than glitter… Let me know if it works
